The hotel was very conveniently situated for the un buildings and offices. It was comfortable modern and clean.
I stayed at the hotel on a Sunday night and had to walk some distance (for 45 minutes) to find a restaurant that was open - there was just one Italian restaurant close by, the others were fast-food pizza take-aways. I dont know whether this was because it was a Sunday night, or the area was just not well served with good restaurants.
I found the friendliness and courtesy of the staff to be of the highest standard. One of my best memories of my stay at your hotel was the night of a thunderstorm and I was huddling outside the Denner store when one of your staff (a young man) came from the hotel under an umbrella. He stopped to talk with me and when finding I was heading back to the hotel, he insisted in giving me the umbrella and he then went into Denner and then had to walk back in the rain with no protection. That is what I call "over and above the call of duty"! I can't really put my finger on what I liked about your hotel suffice to say that I thoroughly enjoyed my visit.
I do not have a bad word to say about the hotel, staff or facilities. The breakfast surpassed my expectations and, as above, the staff couldn't have been nicer.
The hotel staff is very helpful and friendly. The location is close to UN Agencies (walking distance) but not close to the old town (free puiblic transport helps). With upgrade to a suite I had a nice room with large balcony in the 7th floor. The hotel has a certian charm, is clean and offers a nice breakfast (included).
Apart form the kitchen table there was no working desk in the room. WLAN exists but is not free. As with most hotels in Geneva, the star rating is one star higher than the norm (only the rate is in line with stars).
Possibility to cancel reservation to this hotel. Very poor service. Cheap price the only advantage. I was proposed only 1st floor with a street view. No ac in the room. Bad smell and dirty bathroom.
Everything except for the taxi driver nearby who drives me to other hotel with ac and clear room.
Was in Geneva for a conference so the hotel location was ok, close to a bus line that took you to the conference center and to downtown. The free bus pass was great. The room was clean, but not over the ordinary.
The elevator was very old and small, which gave long waiting at peak hours. It worked well though, but not something for a claustrophobic person.
The room was clean and spacious, with a bath tub, unlike many of those around Gare Cornavin. It is two bus stops away from Gare Cornavin, but the bus frequency is very good, and hence I did not miss anything staying away from Gare Cornavin or Lake Geneva. The room rate was relatively cheap for the days of my stay compared to those around Gare Cornavin. There is a Denner shopping mall very close to the Hotel. The room had a kitchenette for a small extra charge, in case you would like to save some money from the expensive restaurant food of Geneva.
The receptionists looked tired but we can blame the weather for that. :)
Vicinity to NATIONS.Convenience of accessibility to city , Air Port and Nations by Public Transport.
Rates are higher .
Hotel cleaning , beautiful room, chic!
My only commendation for the hotel was its very friendly, professional and courteous staff. They were smiling, extremly easy to speak to and helpful in all aspects of the hotel, its facilities and local area.
I was extremely disappointed in the hotel, i specifically searched for a 4 star hotel and felt that i ended up in something between a 2 - 3 star hotel. The hotels decor, overall architecture, and feel was that of a hotel that in my opinion was lack lustre and not value for money. My biggest issue the rating system that Booked.net uses to describe the hotel which was very apparent not a 4 star hotel, and i wonder how the company provides its rating. A more refined method to establish class of hotel i feel would make your users and customers better informed.
Location - close to town centre, but in a quiet environment, close to 2 parks. Nice breakfast and very helpful and kind staff. It was fun to look for a lift in the hotel lobby - as it is hidden in the library-like wallpaper.. And almost disappeared. Collection of old ustensils such as bed heating pots, alarm clocks, hatmaking forms etc beautifies the corridors.
Nice well equipped rooms and friendly helpful staff.
Excellent location, large rooms with kitchen facility, safety, very good public transport facility - buses every 5-10 minutes to travel in different directions. Travel to Airport or Railway station (with reasonable baggage- two suitcases per person) possible in a bus. Hearty welcome at Reception every time you enter the lobby.
Breakfast expensive, Internet not easily available and costly. Your site should mention Bus 8 from Geneva main Cornavin station and Bus 5 + 8 from airport.
Lovely hotel with elegant rooms and close to local transport (for which a free transit pass during stay was included). Staff was friendly and courteous.
Misunderstood that WiFi was available but not included, however reportedly of August 1st is no longer an issue as WiFi will be included.
Friendly, Clean, breakfast okay. Amazing how they managed to maintain the perfectly authentic 60/70ies middle-class hotel atmosphere.
